Policy & Procedure DMS Coordinator
Job Summary Provides support for the coordination and consolidation of corporate medical documents involving all aspects and departments involved in the process. Each Coordinator position will have individual role assignment in conjunction with the assigned Accreditation/Regulation Leader for either facilities-based and/or process based functions. Examples are: FMC, KMC, FRMC, MPH, PH, PHH, PHM, POH, PW, RRMC, TMC, UCMC, Corporate, New Facility Integration as assigned, Education/Training of NDM process as assigned, Disease Specific Certification, Others as assigned. Responsibilities Document Management: Supports and coordinates the process of coordination and consolidation of corporate market, facility and departmental policies, procedures, scopes of service and other documents in conjunction with the Accreditation/Regulatory Managers as assigned in a manner that promotes patient safety. Assures documents are processed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and accreditation standard and other patient safety sources. Electronic Systems/Software Programming/Coordination: Coordination for Novant Document Manager System which includes primary document control administrator responsibilities. Accreditation Support Roles: Performs various administrative duties and completes special projects, as needed. Professional Competency: Attends educational opportunities; reads journal and other publications as needed. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Experience: Three years experience in healthcare environment and/or policy management software, preferred. Additional Skills Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy. Familiarity with medical terminology. Excellent organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft word, outlook, Adobe, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must be able to work with changing priorities. Excellent organization, planning and coordinating skills. Able to interact with individuals of all cultures and levels of authority.
