ROLE SUMMARY
Policy and Public Affairs Associate/Specialist (Indonesia) works as an integral part of the International Policy and Public Affairs (IPPA) within the Malaysia/Indonesia/Singapore/Philippines (MISP) Cluster to execute the overarching Pfizer’s IPPA strategies in supporting key Pfizer’s reputation and business priorities in Indonesia. The role supports the execution of advocacy-related activities including policy-related programs and patient engagement opportunities to optimize patient access to Pfizer’s therapies. The role reports to Policy and Public Affairs Senior Manager with dotted line to MISP’s Policy and Public Affairs Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Corporate Affairs – Provide support to ensure successful implementation of IPPA activities to consistently maintain and enhance corporate image and visibility. This will effectively support the IPPA team and organization in the preparation of internal or external corporate events. Support creative development of key internal and external IPPA collateral e.g. fliers, email invitation, slide presentations for meetings/events and corporate leave behind materials as well as managing corporate website and social media channel(s) in collaboration with External Communications and Patient & Healthcare Experience units. Play an integral role in directly assisting Senior Manager in the management of crisis and issue.Government Relations – Support in the correspondence and outreach for stakeholder engagements as well as monitoring legislation and policy development. Extend executive support in the full preparation for external executive level meetings through seamless logistic arrangement and collateral preparedness. Draft talking points, executive briefing documents, and stakeholder mapping in close coordination with Senior Manager and/or Director. Build and maintain good relationships with the executive support team from key parliamentarians, policy makers, policy advocates, thinktanks, and industry coalitions/trade associations/societies. CSR and Patient Engagements – Assist in the successful implementation of corporate philanthropy and community projects. Support in the management of the past, existing and new CSR partners which include, but not limited to, local community groups, patient support groups, religious groups etc. Collaborate with other business units to coordinate a structured cross-divisional approach to corporate citizenship. Manage strategic engagements with patient support groups and/or communities as relevant.Product – Extend administrative support in the implementation of IPPA projects under the supervision of Senior Manager to reshape policy for innovative medicines (especially for new launches) via strategic, robust corporate activities involving disease awareness campaigns, therapeutic area awareness program, roundtable, stakeholder forum, and/or brands initiatives that position Pfizer as a responsible corporate citizen.Operations – Ensure compliance of operational requirements, including the use of internal approval systems e.g. Veeva, Appian, and Ariba. Maintain strong governance of record keeping and support company-wide DE&I initiatives.
Qualifications
Min. bachelor’s degree in public policy, public health, international relations, political science or strategic communication with a minimum of 2 years of experience in health-related industry Medical background or relevant science background are given added advantage Experience in corporate affairs and/or government affairs between 2-3 years with solid track record in preparation of Senior Visits and External Meeting, external events organization, and stakeholder engagementsStrong organizational skills, results-oriented, resourcefulness with ability to multi-task, work with minimal supervision and deliver in a fast-paced environment Good interpersonal skills, able to quickly build and maintain relationship with inclusivity A solid command of English and Bahasa Indonesia with excellent communication and writing skills Upkeep with IT dynamics and social media savvinessCompetency
