At Merakey, we put our heart and soul into everything we do.   We are seeking a PAD Outreach Specialist to join our team at our program in the Philadelphia, PA - Kensington location.   THIS POSTING IS FOR 2ND SHIFT MONDAY-THURSDAY 2PM-12AM WITH POSSIBLE WEEKENDS.    Earn $20.80/hr. + shift differentials!    Position Details The Police Assisted Diversion (PAD) Outreach Specialist collaborates with the Office of Public Safety, the Philadelphia Police Department, the Philadelphia Fire Department, and other external organizations to divert individuals away from the criminal justice system and into social services. The Outreach Specialist conducts a needs assessment to help the consumer with their needs and goals. Outreach Specialists assist with drug and alcohol assessments, shelter assessments, outpatient referrals, CRC warm handoffs, stranded traveler assistance, medical benefits assistance, and connection to community supports. Outreach Specialist can also be dispatched for various quality of life emergency calls (i.e. possible overdose, welfare checks, disorderly conduct, etc.) or other non-violent low-level behavioral health calls. This role serves as the first point of contact for individuals, providing information, guidance, and other support as they navigate the city of Philadelphia's behavioral health services.
