At Merakey, we put our heart and soul into everything we do.   We are seeking a PAD Outreach Specialist to join our team at our program in the Philadelphia, PA - Kensington location.   THIS POSTING IS FOR 2ND SHIFT TUESDAY-FRIDAY 2PM-12AM.    Earn $20.29/hr.!   Position Details The Police Assisted Diversion (PAD) Outreach Specialist works collaboratively with the Office of Public Safety, Philadelphia Police Department, Philadelphia Fire Department, and additional external organizations to divert those away from the criminal justice system and into social services. The Outreach Specialist conducts needs assessment to help the consumer with their needs and goals. Outreach Specialists assist with drug and alcohol assessments, shelter assessments, outpatient referrals, CRC warm handoffs, stranded traveler assistance, medical benefits assistance, and connection to community supports. Outreach Specialist can also be dispatched for various quality of life emergency calls (i.e. possible overdose, welfare checks, disorderly conduct, etc.) or other non-violent low-level behavioral health calls. This role is the first point of contact for individuals and should provide information, guidance, and other support as individuals navigate the behavioral health services in the city of Philadelphia.
