PMO Program Director Job ID 246684 Posted 06-Nov-2025 Service line PJM Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Construction, Project Management Location(s) Indianapolis - Indiana - United States of America **About the Role:** As a CBRE | T&T PMO Program Director, you will lead teams responsible for developing and administering the framework needed to deliver portfolio of projects and programs with consistency and reliability. This job is part of the Program Management function. This role is responsible for standardizing project-related governance processes, ensures projects align with strategic goals, and provides support to project teams through guidance, training, and resources. Its key responsibilities include project portfolio management, supporting resource allocation, defining and improving SOPs, risk management, performance monitoring, maintaining standards for project documentation and ensuring compliance with all governance and procedural requirements. This role is on-site at your client’s campus in Indianapolis, IN 3-4 days a week. **What You’ll Do:** + Provide formal supervision to direct employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees. + Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed. Lead multi-functioanl team and ensure all areas of the PMO are well coordinated. + Identify and develop specific methodologies, process, tools, and templates to drive standardization in project delivery across the organization, while ensuring a high degree of adoption by project teams and monitoring compliance. + Direct process improvement to improve internal and client facing systems and processes, including developing metrics and benchmarks to track process efficiency and adherence. Develop metrics based on metrics and track data to evaluate effectiveness of improvements. + Establishing new cost and project control tools, reporting and risk documents, and cost management templates and products. + Own & deliver training programs to project management organization, using a proven management methodology. + Track project progress through lifecycle, monitor performance against goals, and provide metrics in portfolio summaries and dashboards to Sr. Management at appropriate cadence and frequency. + Provide regular external facing portfolio level reporting to senior leaders and stakeholders in client organization. + Identify, track, and suggest mitigations for project-level and portfolio-level risks. + Serve as a central point of communication, sharing information about individual project progress, risks, and decisions across all project teams. Maintains project documentation and a history of lessons learned for future project reference. Provide bulletins with major findings and updates as needed to ensure organization adapts quickly to learnings and changes in requirements. + Act as a resource for project managers with tools, templates, best practices, and training. + Apply a robust knowledge of multiple disciplines, the business, and key drivers which impact departmental and cross-functional performance. + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Persuade managers and other colleagues to act while being guided by the organization's functional business plans. Negotiate with external partners, vendors, and customers of divergent interests to reach a common goal. + Identify and solve multi-dimensional, complex, operational, and organizational problems leveraging the appropriate resources within or outside the department. Work within a complex matrixed environment, consisting of internal and external stakeholders to identify problems and negotiate satisfactory solutions. + Significantly improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline. **What You’ll Need:** + Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-12 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. + Project management experience managing projects in an operational environment + Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred. + Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems. + Leadership skills to set, manage and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple departments results within a function. + In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
