Position Overview:\n

We are seeking a Plumber\/Pipefitter to join our Special Projects team in Northern Virginia. The Pipefitter is responsible for installing, assembling, fabricating, maintaining, and repairing mechanical piping systems. This includes working with a variety of pipes, such as steel, copper, and plastic, in commercial settings.\n

Responsibilities:\n\nInstall, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing equipment.\nRead and interpret blueprints, specifications, and building codes.\nPlan piping system layouts, installations, or repairs according to specifications.\nCut, thread, and bend pipes to required angles.\nAssemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and pipes composed of various materials.\nTest piping systems for leaks using pressure gauges and other testing equipment.\nTroubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues. \nMaintain equipment, tools, and inventory stock on company service vehicle.\nSafely drives company vehicle, follows requirements of company vehicle driving policy and adheres to all safety requirements.\n\n

Requirements:\n\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent.\nProven experience as a Plumber\/Pipefitter or in a similar role. - 5+ years preferred.\nStrong knowledge of pipe fitting techniques and procedures.\nAbility to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.\nProficiency with hand and power tools used in the trade.\nAbility to fit carbon steel pipe. \nAbility to solder copper pipe.\nAbility to install screw pipe and victaulic pipe.\nMed Gas Certification is a plus. \nBackflow Certification is a plus.\nPhysical ability to lift heavy materials, work in various settings, including confined spaces, working at heights, and in adverse weather conditions. \nValid driver's license with an insurable driving record.\nMust pass a drug screen and background check.\n\n
