**Job Title: Plumber** **Job Description** We are seeking an experienced plumber with expertise in underground, new construction work, and fixtures. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in working with PVC, cutting and threading pipe, and reading blueprints and specifications. Plumbers must excel in rough-ins, both above and below ground, installing vents, sewers, connections, waterlines, and finishing installations such as hardware, toilets, and sinks. **Responsibilities** + Perform new construction and renovation work in large commercial settings. + Work with domestic water and sanitary systems. + Install fixtures, hangers, and pipe with precision. + Cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angles using appropriate tools. + Study building plans and inspect structures for material and equipment needs. + Locate and mark positions for pipe installations and fixtures. + Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air to detect leaks. + Assemble pipe sections using couplings, clamps, screws, and other methods. + Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, and appliances like dishwashers and water heaters. + Direct helpers in pipe cutting and installation. + Install underground storm, sanitary, or water piping systems. + Maintain and repair plumbing by replacing defective parts and clearing clogs. **Essential Skills** + Minimum 5 years of plumbing experience, with consideration for 3-4 years for a lower pay rate. + Proficiency in using basic hand tools. + Ability to install and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures according to specifications. + Skilled in measuring, cutting, threading, and bending pipes. + Experience in reading blueprints and specifications. **Why Work Here?** Join a reputable, family-owned mechanical contractor with a long-standing history since 1946. The work schedule is Monday to Saturday from 7 AM to 5:30 PM, working six days a week with 10-hour shifts. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of North Port, FL. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
