**Job Title: PLC Technician**
**Job Description**
As a PLC Technician, you will explore and implement innovative methods to automate theatrical rigging systems. You will be responsible for producing, installing, and testing theatrical automation equipment and systems, programming and testing new automated components, identifying quality issues and writing reports, and determining defects and errors in product and software development. Collaboration with other companies and systems is also a key part of the role.
**Responsibilities**
+ Explore and implement new automation methods for theatrical rigging systems.
+ Produce, install, and test theatrical automation equipment and systems.
+ Program and test new automated components.
+ Identify quality issues and write comprehensive reports.
+ Determine defects and errors in product and software development.
+ Collaborate with other companies and systems.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in Siemens PLC programming.
+ Automation and electrical expertise.
+ Knowledge of motors and robotics.
+ Proficiency in controls and electronics.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Associates degree or trade school experience with electrical and mechanical systems.
+ Proficiency in maintaining automation equipment.
+ Some programming knowledge and experience with computer programming and software development.
+ Willingness to travel (60% of the year).
+ Healthy respect for heights.
+ Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform complex system tests.

**Work Environment**
The position operates on a day shift from Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM. Flexibility to work overtime as needed is required.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, Texas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $40.00/hr.
