Plasma Operator - 2nd Shift
Our Opening and Your ResponsibilitiesThe Masstron Producing Organization (MTMS) designs, develops, and produces products within the METTLER TOLEDO Vehicle and Heavy Capacity product families and serves in direct support of the Vehicle Scale Strategic Business Unit which develops and implements the strategic direction of the global vehicle scale product line. The Vehicle Scale team requires a safe working, detail-oriented CNC Plasma fabricator able to operate various pieces of equipment including a press brake, and overhead bridge crane.

Your responsibilities in this role will include, but are not limited to: Complete daily work from a production schedule utilizing blueprints, standard work, and work instructions Accurately enter data into the MRP (e.g. SAP) system and ensure that inventory is accurately statedMaintain quality throughout the process Conduct daily preventative maintenance on machinery Maintain stock control, pull items for orders, work in other departments, and complete other related duties as required to fulfill customer orders Actively participate in facility 5S and Lean initiatives Operate fork trucks and cranes while performing daily activities safelyIdentify and implement safety improvementsWhat You Need to SucceedExperience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environmentAbility to setup and operate saws, brakes, shears, and other machining equipment (jib, Plasma CNC machine and Press brake)Ability to read and interpret standard blueprints and other engineered documentationAbility to work effectively with torches, cutters, staplers, hand/pneumatic tools, and hand tools (hammers, torque wrench, crow bars, etc.)Ability to safely operate Jib and overhead cranes and safely operate a forkliftAbility to perform quality inspections on own work and the work of others based on set expectationsAbility to understand fractions, decimals, and measurement techniquesAbility to work overtime when required (some on weekends)This position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing as permitted by law.Minimum Education / Experience Required:Highschool Diploma or GED requiredOur Offer to YouMedical, dental and vision care coverage and a 401(k) savings plan with company matching – all starting on date of hire.
