**This position works out of our Altavista, VA location in the Abbott Nutrition division.** Our Nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow to keeping adult bodies strong and active. In this role, the individual will be required to interact and communicate extensively with both division and plant support personnel (Engineering, Maintenance, QA, Facilities Maintenance, Vendors, Finance, and other stakeholders as needed) to assure that projects and/or issues are addressed with little-to-no impact to operations productivity. Responsible for providing support and/or oversight in the Receiving and Ingredient Storage areas as relates to departmental projects and initiatives, process improvements, root cause/corrective action investigations, systems controls, new commodity introductions, changes to materials, supplier related issues, data collection and reports, associated documentation, and communication.

**What You’ll Work On**
+ Departmental support of capital scope projects.
+ Support and lead departmental process improvement, technical troubleshooting, and corrective/ preventive actions.
+ Facilitate necessary training for new processes, materials, and equipment.
+ Participate in Operational Excellence idea generation and implementation for the department.
+ Drive departmental cost savings initiatives.
+ Perform administrative duties as required (i.e., meetings, data collection and analysis, assembling, communicating, and presenting relevant information, and designing processes, documentation, and reports, travel as needed, etc.).
+ All other project work assigned (visual maintenance, HRP improvements, support engineering studies, flexible work schedule).
+ Support departmental GMP and Quality initiatives.
+ Help in assisting the team in resolving process and equipment efficiency issues, routine and non-routine inspections, and maintenance.
You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.
**Required Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma / GED required, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
+ Minimum 3-5 years of warehousing, manufacturing, and logistics.
+ Must possess strong leadership skills while demonstrating excellent written, verbal, analytical, and mechanical skills with proficiency in various computer systems and software.
+ Must be highly motivated and self-driven to effectively manage multi tasks in a dynamic, team-oriented environment while utilizing good judgment, effective communication, and strong problem-solving skills.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Some College or vocational schooling preferred

The base pay for this position is $24.50 – $49.00 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
