Airswift is working with one of our major Oil and Gas clients to find a Sour Gas Plant Operator to join their team in Cynthia, AB.
RESPONSIBILITIES & COMPETENCIES Operate, monitor, and maintain sour gas plant equipment, adhering to safe operating practices. Handle emergency response duties and provide on-call coverage as required. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on plant equipment, including compressors, pumps, valves, and instrumentation. Collaborate with Supervisors, Planners/Schedulers, other Technicians, Electricians, CCO, Regional Support, contractors, and PLM for planning and executing work. Adhere to all company policies. Maintain facility records and update drawings. Use maintenance software for documenting work. Develop and execute equipment lockouts. Assist Electrical, Operation, and PLM Technicians as needed. Maintain facility cleanliness, safety, and security. Supervise contract personnel and act as a subject matter expert for the assigned area. This role necessitates the wearing of respiratory protective equipment. Under Alberta OHS 250(2), ensure there is a seal that is good between the face piece of the equipment and the skin on your face when the equipment is sealing. The successful candidate needs to be well-organized, energetic, and service-oriented with the following qualifications: Fourth Class Power Engineer Ticket is an asset. Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial field, preferably with sour gas plant operations. Valid H2S Alive, WHMIS, TDG and First Aid Certificates would be a plus. Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Above-average analytical skills.
