Plant Operator

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting plant operations related to rail and freight loading/unloading, as well as operating basic process equipment.

Plant Operator Details:

Direct Hire position$26.00 to $32.00 /hourWeekend work requiredVarious shifts available (Sunday through Sunday from 12:00am to 12:00pm)Monitor the movement of products to and from storage tanks, coordinating with team members to ensure a steady and safe product flowRecord key operating data, such as quantities pumped, gauge readings, and operating times, either manually or using computer systemsInspect vessels for cleanliness and verify they meet loading procedures and weight requirementsPerform railcar groundwork, including connecting/disconnecting couplers and air lines, and assisting with railcar spottingSet manual brakes on railcars as neededSupport general site upkeep, including groundskeeping tasks like weed removalTake on additional duties as assigned to support plant operations

Plant Operator Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED is required.Ability to read and understand basic instructions, memos, and short correspondenceComfortable writing simple messages and communicating clearly in small group settingsBasic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimalsAble to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages as needed for operational tasksStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to apply common sense in routine situationsBasic computer skills required (e.g., data entry, email, basic system navigation)Willingness to complete ongoing safety and job-related training
