VACANCY ADVERTISEMENT: PLANT OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR
Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit a highly motivated and committed individual for the position of Plant Operations Supervisor to join the versatile LPDC department. We are in search of an individual who can champion Barrick's DNA by:

Reporting to the Coordinator Township Services, you will be responsible for water and wastewater plant Supervision with all requirements related to plant operations.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Oversee the Lumwana township water metering system.Oversee compliance with all national/international water regulations standardsConduct routine inspections of the water treatment operations facility and various regulatory and operational reports as required.Evaluate the condition of the water distribution system, metering systems, and other utility facilities and equipment to initiate and/or recommend improvements.Develop and/or participate in the development of short and long-range maintenance plans.Recommend new materials, equipment, or product substitutions to take advantage of new technology.Coordinate utility maintenance activities with other departments and divisions.Participate in problem resolution and provide input and consultation as appropriate.Prepare employee work schedules and coordinate schedules between maintenance and operations personnel.Maintain inventory of chemical usages and dosages.Ensure effective communication and work handover with work team before going off duty.To participate in Environmental and safety compliance systems for quality auditsTo fully participate in good housekeeping activities around the plant areas to keep excellent sanitation such as painting and weeding any weeds around the plant

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
Full Grade Twelve (12) School CertificateDegree in chemical, environmental or water engineeringGood computer skills with the ability to use ms word/exel 2-5 years of experience in water treatment operationsMember of Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ).Must have class B and C national driver's license.Water treatment and distribution certificate is an added advantage
