The New Porgera Limited now has a vacancy for a qualified and experienced individual as Plant Metallurgist
About the roles
Reporting to the Senior Metallurgist, the incumbent will be responsible for the application and monitoring of metallurgical systems in the Porgera process operation, including projects development and execution, providing technical guidance and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily plant monitoring and troubleshooting Maintain metallurgical accounting and reporting Reagents consumption tracking and optimization Plant inspections and monitoring Assist in test work and improvement projects Liaise with operations to ensure metallurgical best practices Maintain a high level of health, safety and environmental awareness and comply with all relevant NPL policies & procedures.Ideal Candidate:
1-3 year's experience in a similar role ( or strong internship exposure) A degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or related field. Good experience in production forecasting, cost management and budgeting Strong skills to troubleshoot operational and metallurgical issues Eager to learn and grow in a fast- paced environmentMobilization Requirement
