Job Description

Avery Dennison is seeking a Quality Engineer that is a highly motivated problem solver to lead supplier improvement and critical ISO systems.

 In this role, the successful candidate will bring passion, determination and a sense of urgency to drive a world class quality culture to Graphics operations. You will work closely with the site operations and broader divisional quality organization in Graphics, , engineering and supply chain to ensure business success in a leading company where individual and team success are recognized and rewarded.  

Activities may include, but are not limited to:

Lead Supplier Quality Improvement initiatives driving corrective action and managing the raw material rejection process to minimize internal losses and impact to HOLD accrual

Maintain and improve reporting tools for critical quality metrics 

Lead quality projects to support the operations quality strategy improving reduction in customer claims in the market and/ or reducing internal losses 

Participate in daily and weekly Management for Daily Improvement process and support quality related actions

Lead customer and  internal corrective action requests implementing countermeasures to prevent recurrence 

Establish and assess quality testing standards and required frequencies based on risk and product requirements.

Analyze data trends to understand capability of critical to quality attributes measured in testing 

Site Calibration Quality lead and review of inspection equipment adequacy and needs

Perform other tasks or project work as assigned 

Safety:

Practice all health and safety procedures, policies and practices.

Practice excellent housekeeping. Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Participate in all required safety training and initiatives.  

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years industry experience required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science or equivalent

Strong verbal and written communication skills  

Actively seeks knowledge, skills and experience in order to grow and develop

Good trouble-shooting/problem-solving and mechanical ability

Demonstrated problem-solving experience

Must be able to actively contribute in a team based environment; encourage open communication and positive interaction with peers and management to effectively reach a common goal. 

Schedule flexibility to support operations as needed 

Proficient in Google and Microsoft Office 

Previous Quality or Process Engineering experience preferred
