Plant Manager (Lordstown, Ohio)
Job Title: Plant Manager – Energy Center Location: Lordstown, OH Employment Type: Direct Hire Salary Range: $180,000 – $210,000 annually + Performance Bonus Relocation Assistance: Available based on distance Position Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead operations at their natural gas-fired combined-cycle power plant in Lordstown, OH. This facility features advanced Siemens technology and is designed for high efficiency and environmental responsibility. The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of experience managing medium to large-scale power plants (200MW+), with a strong background in combined-cycle operations. Facility Overview The Lordstown Energy Center includes: + Two Siemens SGT6-8000H combustion turbines + NEM triple-pressure reheat HRSGs + Siemens SST6-5000 condensing turbine with hydrogen-cooled generator + 14-cell cooling tower + Advanced emissions control systems Key Responsibilities + Oversee daily operations and maintenance of the power plant + Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards + Lead and manage plant personnel, including technical, supervisory, and hourly staff + Administer company policies and collective bargaining agreements + Manage plant outages (planned and unplanned) to minimize downtime + Oversee budgeting, planning, and performance tracking + Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement Qualifications + Required: + Proven leadership in power generation, especially in independent power production or peaking operations + Strong technical knowledge of natural gas-fired combustion and steam turbine systems + Demonstrated success in managing plant operations, maintenance, and personnel + Expertise in safety, QA/QC, training, and environmental compliance programs + Preferred: + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience) + Prior experience as a Plant Manager at a combined-cycle facility using Siemens technology + Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Top Skills + Plant Management + Combined-Cycle Operations + Steam Turbine Systems + Outage Management + Power Generation Leadership Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $180000.00 - $210000.00/yr.
