Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead operations at their natural gas-fired combined-cycle power plant in Lordstown, OH. This facility features advanced Siemens technology and is designed for high efficiency and environmental responsibility.

The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of experience managing medium to large-scale power plants (200MW+), with a strong background in combined-cycle operations.

Two Siemens SGT6-8000H combustion turbinesNEM triple-pressure reheat HRSGsSiemens SST6-5000 condensing turbine with hydrogen-cooled generator14-cell cooling towerAdvanced emissions control systemsKey ResponsibilitiesOversee daily operations and maintenance of the power plantEnsure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standardsLead and manage plant personnel, including technical, supervisory, and hourly staffAdminister company policies and collective bargaining agreementsManage plant outages (planned and unplanned) to minimize downtimeOversee budgeting, planning, and performance trackingFoster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvementQualificationsRequired:Proven leadership in power generation, especially in independent power production or peaking operationsStrong technical knowledge of natural gas-fired combustion and steam turbine systemsDemonstrated success in managing plant operations, maintenance, and personnelExpertise in safety, QA/QC, training, and environmental compliance programsPreferred:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)Prior experience as a Plant Manager at a combined-cycle facility using Siemens technologyStrong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft OfficeTop SkillsPlant ManagementCombined-Cycle OperationsSteam Turbine SystemsOutage ManagementPower Generation Leadership

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $180000.00 - $210000.00/yr.
