Plant Manager - Equipment Fabrication Facility

As our Green Tree Plant Manager, you will lead a team of 60 associates in the manufacturing and shipment of Feed and Does Equipment.  Following TPM framework you will continue the sites TPM journey to Silver, transforming the safety culture and standards of the plant, support continuous improvement of the production lines, along with supporting, developing and training your team of professionals. This role requires excellent communication skills in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do:

Leadership

Take an active role in all aspects of safety and quality, with responsibility for the entire siteTrain, support, and develop your team in an equipment manufacturing environment with design standards, technical solutions, working closely with engineering, regulatory, safety, finance, marketing and providing a strong customer service,Responsible for a $7.0M annual expense budget along with $250K of capital projects to improve the plant operationsManage monthly costs, absorption and month-over-month accruals as neededBe an integral member of the Equipment Plant leadership team guiding strategic direction and being a great team member who leads by exampleContinue driving TPM, with goal set on Silver CertificationMake decisions and set priorities tied to the plant, division, and company priorities, following the corporate Objectives, Goals, Strategies and MeasuresFollow company standards (Ecolab Code of Conduct) and plant work rulesModel operational excellence, visibly demonstrating leadership and change management

Delivering Results

Drive plant safety, with Goal Zero mindsetMaintain a high DIOFT percentage with on time deliveriesManage monthly budget, staying at or below planProactively identify opportunities and threats in the business environment and articulate those to leadership, developing countermeasures accordinglyAs a leader you will train, coach and mentor your teamDevelop value added solutions with significant reach and/or impactProactively resolve conflicts to maintain team members’ focus on resultsMake decisions and set priorities tied to plant goals and strategiesBe strategic and a visionary, being able to lead people and problem solve production and QA related issuesAbility to work closely with OBL’s and marketers supporting growth opportunities globallyCreate a monthly Green Tree plant OGSM and combined with your team present to Director/VP level. 

Talent Development

Assist in the training of your Production, Warehouse and QA team leadersResponsible for maintaining strong work culture of entire plantSuccessfully complete safety and ergonomic training along with classroom, computer-based training as required

Relationships

Build working relationships with Safety, Planning, R&D, Marketing, HR, Finance and QualityProactively resolve conflict to maintain the plants focus on resultsDevelop relationships across geographical and functional boundaries, including support of shipments to CA, EU and APWork closely with Regulatory on Export shipment paperwork requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Supply ChainMinimum 7 years of Supply Chain experiencePrior people leadership experienceExcellent communication skillsWorked in a production environmentNo immigration sponsorship available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree a plusPrior chemical or equipment operations experienceBasic knowledge of manufacturing operationsExperience in TPM, ISOHave managed financial budgets

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The base salary range for this position is $130,100.00 - $195,100.00. This position is eligible for annual bonus pay based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
