Plant Manager – Mount Comfort, IN

The Plant Manager is responsible for driving continuous and significant improvements in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, cost, and working capital. This will be achieved by developing a world class plant operations organization and methodically implementing strategic objectives (a unique combination of strategic planning, strategy deployment, lean management, and manufacturing techniques).

What You Will Do:

Drive rapid, significant and sustainable improvement in the areas of safety, quality, on-time delivery, lead time and costProvide the leadership necessary for the development and execution of a manufacturing 5 yr strategyLead regular KPI reviews with the VP Manufacturing OperationsLeads the development and implementation of the roadmap to achieve breakthrough operating performance (5S, SMED, TPM, etc)Coach and mentor an outstanding teamEnsure key manufacturing metrics and key performance indicator systems are consistently trackedContinually evolve manufacturing efficiency and assess opportunities to reduce cost, taking aggressive action to drive financial performanceOversee coordination of the manufacturing function with sales, marketing, design engineering, and other functional organizationsContinually benchmark best practices and drive use of such across responsible operations.

What You Need to Succeed:

Bachelor’s Degree is required (Technical Major Preferred).Ten years manufacturing operations leadership experience.The potential to lead larger and more strategically complex manufacturing organizations or assume a full P&L general management assignment is desired. The successful candidate will also be a strong developer of people and teams, believing it a critical component in driving organizational change and effectiveness.
