Plant Manager

Role description: 

The Plant Manager is the leader of the local manufacturing site. This role is responsible for driving manufacturing excellence and a winning culture to deliver the financial goals of the site.   

Responsibilities: 

Establish and maintain a safe and healthy work environment while complying with environmental regulations and food safety standards 

Ensure products are manufactured to Ardagh quality standards and within customer specification 

Build customer relationships through regular communication and delivered quality 

Lead departments to optimize performance in all aspects of the business 

Drive a continuous improvement culture and strive to improve the manufacturing process  

Lead people development, training, employee engagement, and advancement at all levels of the plant organization through servant leadership 

Partner and share best practices with business segment peers to drive overall company performance improvements 

Perform administrative responsibilities necessary to effectively manage the facility 

Increase production, assets capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs 

Drive favorable P&L results through the items the plant controls (i.e. productivity, labor cost, spending) 

Comply with environmental and food safety standards as set forth in plant policies and programs within the departmental responsibilities 

Minimum skills / qualifications:  

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field or significant industry experience 

Ten (10) years of manufacturing experience with a proven track record of successful team building 

Great communicator with effective organizational and planning skills 

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite 

Ability to travel up to 10% 

Preferred skills / qualifications:  

Master's in engineering, business administration, or a related field 

Glass container or other glass manufacturing experience 

Lean Six Sigma certification 

Compensation

The anticipated base annual salary range for this role is between $153,100 and $229,700 per year. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate. The final salary will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.

Ardagh Glass Packaging seeks to reward full-time, salaried employees for their contributions through the annual Ardagh Incentive Bonus (AIB) plan. The bonus allocated for this role is x% of the annual salary. The bonus incentive program is based on company meeting or exceeding financial targets of EBITDA and operating cash flow.
