Learn more about us at www.allegion.co.nz **About the role** Reporting to our Operations Manager, you will: + **Lead Factory Operations:** Lead and oversee assembly, metal finishing (polishing, electroplating, powder coating), and maintenance to meet production, cost, and quality targets. + **Develop Your Team:** Coach, mentor, and grow a multi-cultural workforce; manage performance issues, skills matrices, recruitment and engagement initiatives. + **Drive Continuous Improvement:** Work with the Production and Process Engineer to implement Lean Six Sigma principles and foster a culture of problem-solving. + **Ensure Health & Safety Compliance:** Partner with EHS specialist to conduct training, enforce policies, promote wellbeing programme and maintain a safe working environment. + **Manage Budgets and Inventory:** Control labour and overhead costs, oversee annual stocktakes and optimize raw material ordering. + **Collaborate Cross-Functionally:** Align with Planning, Innovation, and Quality to align production plans, introduce NPI, maintain BOMs and routings, and achieve and exceed targets for safety, quality, delivery, and cost. **What you will bring** + **Proven Leadership:** Minimum ten years’ manufacturing experience, including at least five in a leadership role. + **Technical and Business Acumen:** Tertiary qualification in engineering, business, or related field; hands-on process engineering experience; strong planning and project management skills. + **Continuous Improvement Expertise** : Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred; demonstrated success in process optimization and cost reduction. + **Health & Safety Management:** Solid understanding of health & safety regulations and best practices. + **People Skills:** Advanced interpersonal and communication skills; ability to influence and build trust across all levels. + **IT Proficiency:** Strong Microsoft Office skills; experience with QAD or similar ERP systems. + **Personal Attributes:** Highly reliable and resilient; ethical, detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and customer centric. **What’s in it for you** + Be part of a market-leading team with a global reputation for quality and innovation. + Lead the success of our local factory manufacturing operations. + Work within a global organisation that values growth, innovation, and continuous improvement.
