The Job:  

The Aerospace Plant Manager is responsible for leading and managing all daily operations of the manufacturing facility to ensure efficiency, quality, safety, and on-time delivery of aerospace components and systems. This role oversees production, maintenance, engineering, quality, and supply chain functions while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. This onsite role supports two locations, You’ll get to:  

Lead plant operations to meet or exceed production, quality, cost, and delivery goals.Ensure compliance with AS9100/ISO standards, FAA regulations, and customer-specific aerospace requirements.Develop and execute strategic plans to increase productivity and streamline processes.Drive continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S methodologies.Oversee the planning and scheduling of production to ensure on-time delivery and inventory management.Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with OSHA and internal safety standards.Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.Lead, coach, and develop a team of managers, supervisors, engineers, and production employees.Strong track record of operational leadership and full Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility.Establish KPIs and performance metrics; prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership.Manage budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for savings.Support new product introductions and process qualifications.

The Person:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).7–10+ years of experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing, with 3–5 years in a plant or operations leadership role.In-depth knowledge of aerospace industry standards, including AS9100 and FAA regulatory requirements.Proven success in leading high-mix, low-volume or complex manufacturing environments.Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.Primarily onsite role in a manufacturing environment.May require occasional travel to customers, suppliers, or corporate locations.

Hands-on leadership style with a focus on team development.Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.Track record of improving efficiency, reducing waste, and enhancing product quality.
