Overview

Are you someone with plant maintenance experience who loves delighting clients by helping them solve their problems in the asset management space and adapting to change? If that’s you, then we are waiting for you to join our Nuclear Safety team.


Our team within the nuclear business specialises in taking on some of the most significant engineering projects in the nuclear sector. Our business focuses on providing engineering services to the following key clients:


For EDF Energy in the UK and for Nawah Energy Company in the Middle East, we help ensure the on-going safe, reliable, low carbon nuclear generation of their power stations, and for EDF Energy we are helping with preparations for safe and efficient defuelling.

Finally, we also support other clients and parts of the AtkinsRéalis business covering the full lifecycle from new build through to deconstruction, defence, net zero energy projects to name a few.


The project opportunities we have are varied in size and therefore responsibility levels, from delivering our consultancy engineering services, to being embedded within the client organisation delivering their engineering projects and programmes. As such we are looking for an experience Mechanical maintenance professional.

Your role

Working within our Nuclear and Power business sector, as a Plant Maintenance Engineer you will work with teams to enable the delivery of AtkinsRéalis technical engineering projects or work directly for our key clients embedded into their major programmes.


As an AtkinsRéalis Plant Maintenance Engineer, your will need the following skill sets:

Extensive experience in the preventive/periodic/predictive maintenance methodsSpare Planning, Inventory managementHands on experience in maintenance of the rotating machines such as Turbine, Heat Exchangers, HVAC, and Pumps.Experience in Maintenance of static/pressure parts such as Heat Exchangers, Boilers, Filters, and Valves. & pressure parts, cubicles.Should have knowledge on troubleshooting of Pumps, valves, gauge, mechanical interlocks, and fittings.Decisive knowledge on Ad-hoc troubleshootingShould be aware of tools and techniques to be used as part of plant maintenanceShould have broad knowledge on maintenance specification (Kind of instructions to the contractor and prescribes the materials and workmanship requirements, etc.)Experience in Maintaining Mechanical Equipment’s such as Boiler,Good experience in writing methodology of maintenance of equipmentGood experience in Asset management/Asset taggingShould know the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) method of performing work.Appreciate HSE as the highest priority.

We’d really like to hear from you if you hold a recognised engineering degree.
