Plant Integration Engineer – Mechanical & Process Systems (Long-Term Contract)
Pay Rate: $69–$115/hr — Remote with occasional travel

Project: Advanced Nuclear – Natrium Demonstration Plant (Kemmerer, WY)
System One is seeking an experienced Plant Integration Engineer – Mechanical & Process Systems to support the design and integration of Nuclear and Energy Island systems for the Natrium advanced nuclear project. This role provides technical and administrative oversight across a wide range of mechanical/process systems while interfacing with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
+ Provide oversight of mechanical and process systems including:
air & gas systems, cranes, HVAC, fire protection, condensate & feedwater, heat rejection, cooling towers, etc.
+ Lead integration of engineering deliverables across geographically distributed team members.
+ Support development of plant 3D model elements for assigned systems.
+ Coordinate mechanical/process interfaces with civil/structural, electrical, PRA, seismic, and fluid systems.
+ Review design deliverables for quality, accuracy, configuration control, and completeness.
+ Track engineering schedules, drive completion of tasks, and mitigate schedule risks.
Qualifications & Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences or similar discipline.
+ 10+ years of experience in nuclear or power plant design/retrofits with emphasis on mechanical/process systems.
+ Multi-system engineering experience among those listed above.
+ Proven leadership in cross-functional and cross-disciplinary engineering integration teams.
+ Ability to work effectively with distributed and international technical teams.
+ Experience tracking design schedules and driving timely deliverables.
+ Excellent communication skills (written and verbal); ability to summarize critical design integration information for internal and leadership audiences.
+ Experience working under ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001 quality standards.
