Plant HSE Lead

Make It With Pride.** **How you will contribute** + **HSE Program Management:** + Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive HSE programs, policies, and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and company objectives. + Conduct regular risk assessments, hazard identification, and safety inspections to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions. + Oversee and manage the plant's HSE management system. + **Compliance & Reporting:** + Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal HSE regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA). + Prepare and submit all required HSE reports, permits, and documentation to regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders. + Maintain accurate records of incidents, training, inspections, and environmental data. + **Incident Investigation & Prevention:** + Lead and participate in incident investigations (near misses, first aids, recordable injuries, environmental spills) to determine root causes and implement effective corrective and preventive actions. + Develop and implement proactive measures to prevent recurrence of incidents. + **Training & Awareness:** + Develop and deliver HSE training programs for all employees, including new hire orientation, job-specific safety training, and emergency response drills. + Promote HSE awareness and a positive safety culture throughout the plant. + **Environmental Management:** + Manage environmental aspects of plant operations, including waste management, air emissions, wastewater discharge, and chemical storage. + Ensure environmental permits are up-to-date and compliance limits are met. + Identify opportunities for environmental footprint reduction and sustainability initiatives. + **Emergency Preparedness:** + Develop, implement, and regularly review emergency response plans (e.g., fire, hazardous material spills, medical emergencies). + Organize and conduct emergency drills. + **Continuous Improvement:** + Monitor key HSE performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement. + Lead and participate in safety committees and cross-functional teams to drive HSE excellence. + Stay informed of best practices and new technologies in HSE. + **Contractor Safety:** + Oversee contractor safety programs and ensure adherence to plant safety standards. **What you will bring** A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge: + Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in an HSE role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment. + Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing HSE management systems and knowledge in relevant HSE regulations + Certifications specializing in HSE would be preferred + Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. + Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels of the organization.
