Plant Finance Manager

Position Summary
The Plant Finance Manager is a strategic business partner to plant leadership and is responsible for all financial planning, reporting, and analysis for the manufacturing facility. This role provides insight into plant performance, drives cost optimization, ensures accurate financial results, and supports operational decision‑making. The Plant Finance Manager plays a critical role in safeguarding company assets, improving financial processes, and supporting continuous improvement across the operation.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning & Analysis
+ Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes for the plant.
+ Prepare and present variance analyses, plant P&L performance, KPIs, and operational dashboards.
+ Develop annual budgets and rolling forecasts in collaboration with plant leadership.
+ Analyze cost drivers, production efficiencies, labor utilization, scrap, and inventory.
+ Translate operational performance into clear financial insights and recommendations.
Cost Accounting & Inventory Management
+ Oversee standard costing, bill of materials (BOM), and routing accuracy.
+ Monitor and analyze manufacturing variances, including material usage, labor rates, and overhead absorption.
+ Lead cycle count programs and ensure proper inventory controls.
+ Partner with supply chain to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste.
Business Partnership & Decision Support
+ Serve as a financial advisor to the Plant Manager and leadership team.
+ Support capital investment projects (CARs), including ROI analysis and post‑implementation reviews.
+ Provide financial modeling, scenario analysis, and cost‑benefit evaluations.
+ Collaborate with operations, engineering, and quality teams to support continuous improvement and lean initiatives.
Compliance & Controls
+ Ensure adherence to corporate accounting policies, GAAP, and internal controls.
+ Lead internal and external audit support for the plant.
+ Enhance financial processes and implement best practices across the facility.
QualificationsRequired
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
+ 5+ years of financial experience, preferably within manufacturing.
+ Strong knowledge of cost accounting and plant operations.
+ Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.).
+ Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
+ Ability to communicate financial concepts to non‑finance stakeholders.
+ Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
+ Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Strong capability in ERP systems and Excel.
+ Experience in a standard cost environment.
Work Environment
This position is fully onsite in Muskego. This role requires a strong cost accounting background, as you will be responsible for the financial operations of the facility. The work environment provides opportunities for career growth, with potential for advancement into executive-level finance roles.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Muskego, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $175000.00/yr.
Full 401k, medical, dental, vision, PTO benefits available for this individual There is a 3% match that exists in this as well

This is a fully onsite position in Muskego,WI.
