Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Finance Manager to lead financial operations at our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for driving financial performance through detailed analysis, cost management, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing finance, cost accounting, and ERP systems, with a proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and support business growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct in-depth financial analysis to identify performance gaps and opportunities for improvement.Manage cost structures, pricing strategies, and margin evaluations to support business decisions.Develop and maintain accurate labor and overhead rates in a standard cost environment.Perform detailed cost accounting tasks, including variance analysis and cost validation.Lead monthly financial close activities and prepare reports for internal stakeholders and corporate leadership.Facilitate regular reviews of key performance indicators and guide teams in executing improvement plans.Ensure adherence to internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance across business processes.Coordinate and manage annual physical inventory counts and support audits from customers or government entities.Evaluate capital investment proposals and provide financial projections to support decision-making.Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.8+ years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.Expertise in financial analysis, cost accounting, and financial reporting.Proficiency in forecasting, financial modeling, and financial planning and analysis.Strong experience in month-end financial processes and variance analysis.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (e.g., JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle).Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls.Preferred QualificationsCPA, CMA, or MBA is a plus.Experience supporting capital investment decisions and ROI analysis.Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
