Plant Controls Engineer
Our client, a leader in renewable energy engineering, is seeking a Senior Plant Controls Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Plant Controls Engineer, you will be part of the Plant Controls Engineering department supporting the SCADA and Plant Controls team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a high attention to detail, and a proactive mindset which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title:** Senior Plant Controls Engineer **Location:** Austin, TX **Pay Range:** $74-$86/hour **What’s the Job?** + Lead SCADA design, configuration, and commissioning for utility-scale renewable energy projects while mentoring junior engineers. + Coordinate across engineering disciplines and project managers to ensure technical and timeline requirements are met. + Oversee contractor work, generate technical documentation, and ensure compliance with SCADA standards. + Commission substation equipment and plant networks while driving operational performance improvements. + Support strategic goals of the SCADA team by developing new standards and refining internal processes. **What’s Needed?** + Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). + 8+ years of experience working with control systems and SCADA platforms. + Strong knowledge of network design including VLANs, fiber/ethernet, and switch configuration. + Experience with RTU/plant controller configuration and development of technical documentation. + Proven success leading commissioning and oversight of technical contractors. **What’s in it for me?** + Competitive salary and benefits package. + Opportunity to work with a leading company in the industry. + Professional growth and development opportunities. + A collaborative and dynamic work environment. + Stability and long-term career potential.
