Plant Controller

Description We are looking for a skilled Plant Controller to oversee and optimize financial operations in our manufacturing facility located in Los Angeles, California. This role will involve preparing detailed financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and maintaining robust internal controls. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate and actionable financial insights that support business goals.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, on a regular basis.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
• Manage daily accounting operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and vendor and customer transactions.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and other relevant regulations, maintaining high standards of accuracy.
• Assist in preparing audit schedules and supporting documentation for annual external audits.
• Collaborate with various departments to collect financial data and deliver reports that inform strategic decision-making.
• Conduct financial forecasting and budgeting to support long-term planning initiatives.
• Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve cost efficiency and profitability.
• Supervise the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Support the General Manager and Corporate Controller with additional financial tasks as required. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Expertise in cost accounting, including standard cost accounting and manufacturing cost analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and complex formulas.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and experience with compliance and regulatory standards.
• Proven ability to manage month-end and year-end close processes effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
