Plant Controller
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Plant Controller to oversee financial operations at our facility in Dallas, Texas. This role involves managing cost accounting, budgets, and financial reporting to support plant and corporate decision-making. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving financial efficiency and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities: • Oversee month-end closing processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. • Develop and manage budgets and periodic financial forecasts to support operational planning. • Review and approve capital expenditure (CapEx) projects and cost-saving initiatives. • Conduct cost accounting activities and implement improvements to existing practices. • Collaborate with corporate and plant management to meet reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights. • Assist with margin and distribution cost analyses, as well as inventory management, including annual and cycle count inventories. • Coordinate and oversee fixed asset inventories and ensure proper tagging of new assets. • Monitor and analyze plant financial performance, providing recommendations for improvement. • Maintain operational scorecards and support the completion of ad hoc projects and financial analyses. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software systems, including platforms such as Epicor and 3M. • Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices. • Experience in managing accounts payable and auditing processes. • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage annual budgets effectively. • Familiarity with financial reporting tools and systems, such as ADP Financial Services. • Excellent analytical skills for margin analysis, cost distribution, and operational performance assessments. • Ability to coordinate and execute fixed asset inventories and tagging procedures. • Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and management.
