We are looking for an experienced Plant Controller to join our growing manufacturing team in Dalton, Georgia. This position involves overseeing financial operations for one of our divisions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and driving strategic financial planning. Responsibilities:
• Manage the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare detailed financial statements and present insights to support decision-making.
• Develop and oversee annual budgets and forecasts to align with organizational goals.
• Supervise capital expenditure (CapEx) management and ensure effective allocation of resources.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
• Conduct financial analyses to identify trends and opportunities for cost optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies for financial processes.
• Utilize Dynamics 365 Business Central to streamline accounting operations and reporting.
• Oversee the cost accounting function to maintain accurate product costing and profitability analysis.
Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in financial management, including oversight of the close process and preparation of financial statements.
• Previous management experience is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus.
• Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Familiarity with manufacturing or construction industry accounting practices is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and other financial software tools.
• Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
