Plant Administrator

Description

The Plant Administrator is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the plant’s administrative processes. This role reports directly to the Plant Manager and provides administrative support across the plant’s compliance, financial, payroll, production, and safety functions. The Plant Administrator will execute and guide related administrative duties to a high standard—ensuring work is accurate, timely, and efficient—while supporting overall business objectives in accordance with company policies, procedures, and management direction.

Key Responsibilities

Data entry, payroll processing, document control, and record keepingOSHA System ComplianceProvide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholdersEstablish and maintain working relationships with managers and supervisors across the siteGenerate and update reports where requiredEffective and on-time management of manufacturing process dataEfficient record keeping relating to stock-takes and other processesAdminister stock management process ensuring inventory discrepancies are minimizedAdminister new employees including coordination with corporate partners, pre-employment medical screenings, and orientationMaintain site training matrix and safety compliance calendarCreate and roll out training materialAssist in the creation, maintenance, and training of work instructions, JSAs, audits, etc.Organize industrial hygiene examinations and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and requirementsMaintain health and safety records and programs to a high standard and in line with OSHA VPP requirementsRecord significant accomplishments with respect to process improvement and safety

Key Skills and Experience Required

5 years’ experience within an Administration or related role Previous payroll processing experience, ideally with Kronos preferred Previous experience with ERP Systems, ideally JD Edwards preferredAdvanced experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint The ability to work in a safe and respectful mannerFamiliarity with Excel Macros or VBA a plus

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
