**Requisition ID:** 177519 **Job Level:** Senior Level **Home District/Group:** Eastern Canada District **Department:** Project Controls **Market:** Transportation **Employment Type:** Full Time **Position Overview** As a Planning Manager in the infrastructure construction industry, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning and scheduling of large-scale infrastructure projects such as highways, bridges, transit systems, and utilities. You will lead a team of planners and schedulers, coordinate with project managers, and provide strategic input to optimize project timelines, resource allocation, and compliance with regulatory requirements. **District Overview** Eastern Canada District's projects include highways, bridges, mass transit, mine site development & open pit operations, hydroelectric powerhouses, wind-power plants, dams & industrial. We serve the construction and mining industries and operate in Eastern Canada. **Location** This position is based on our Union Station Project in Toronto. **Responsibilities** + Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project). + Lead the planning team and coordinate planning activities across multiple projects. + Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders. + Identify potential delays and propose mitigation strategies. + Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to align schedules with project goals. + Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. + Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management. + Support risk management and change control processes. **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. + 5+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling within the construction industry. + Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project. + Strong leadership and team management skills. + Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. + Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, tunnels, or public transit systems. + PMP or equivalent project management certification. + Familiarity with infrastructure-specific planning tools and methodologies. \#LI-GH **Working Conditions** Insert here **Other Requirements:** • Regular, reliable attendance • Work productively and meet deadlines timely • Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment • Perform work safely and effectively.
