Job Description:

Planning Manager at Parsons, you'll be a senior leader in project controls, responsible for the comprehensive planning, scheduling, integration, and governance of complex, multi-disciplinary projects and programs. Leveraging extensive experience (typically 15+ years) in engineering and construction project controls, you will drive on-time, on-budget delivery through strategic schedule management, risk mitigation, and team leadership.

Core Responsibilities

Lead Project Scheduling: Develop, integrate, and maintain detailed Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) (Level 1–4) using expert-level proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6, ensuring robust logic, baseline control, and alignment with contractual and project governance standards.

Performance Monitoring & Analysis: Direct the team in progress measurement, perform in-depth variance and trend analysis, and conduct Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis, resource-loaded scheduling, and 'what-if' scenario modeling to forecast completion and recommend effective recovery or acceleration strategies.

Risk & Change Governance: Lead schedule risk assessments to quantify impacts, develop mitigation plans, and govern the schedule change control process, including performing time impact analyses and supporting claims/forensic schedule reviews as a subject matter expert.

Reporting & Stakeholder Management: Produce clear, decision-ready reports, dashboards, and presentations for project leadership, clients, and internal teams, ensuring schedule quality (e.g., DCMA 14-Point) and data integrity. Act as a primary interface with clients, partners, and subcontractors.

Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of planners/schedulers, overseeing staffing, workload coordination, and fostering continuous improvement in planning standards and practices across the program.
