Job Description:

Parsons are on the look out for an amazingly talented Planning Engineer to join our Riyadh based engagement on DGDA where you will perform a variety of project control assignments requiring the application of basic techniques and analyses.

What you'll be doing:

Assists in developing and implementing and/or in providing planning and scheduling services to engineering, procurement, and construction activities for assigned projects.

Develops, implements, and maintains planning/scheduling function on one or more larger projects.

Gathers, compiles, and analyzes data on economic, social, and physical factors affecting land use.

Prepares, coordinates, and facilitates involvement and consensus-building meetings and workshops.

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

Scheduling:

Tracks and monitors the resolution of difficult scheduling/planning problems.

Analyzes, evaluates, and forecasts current status against an established baseline schedule.

Assesses the impact(s) of design or construction changes and schedule slippages.

Reports status of schedule to appropriate project and Company management as well to the client.

Understands and applies engineering, procurement, and construction terminology, concepts, and relationships.

Develops and maintains critical path logic networks and bar charts utilizing this information.

Customizes project control systems to meet specific project requirements.

Accumulates historical data, such as performance experience, for use in maintaining a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting.

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.


What requirements you'll need:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management or related field (or equivalent experience) and typically 8+ years of related work experience.

Requires basic engineering knowledge in mechanical, civil, or a related field. Familiarity with various software used in the Project Controls Department, such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Office Suite.
