Job Description
We are seeking a diligent Planning Coordinator to manage data entry tasks and help alleviate a backlog due to team changes. This role is crucial in maintaining Bills of Material (BOMs) and creating work orders. The successful candidate will assist in transitioning responsibilities due to a team member's department transfer and an upcoming retirement.
Responsibilities
Maintain and update Bills of Material (BOMs).Create and manage work orders efficiently.Understand and manage routings, operations, lead times, and due dates.Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Work collaboratively with Production Control leadership.Ensure reliability and consistency in work hours with some flexibility.Essential Skills
High attention to detail and accuracy.Understanding of work orders, BOMs, routings, operations, lead times, and due dates.Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred, SAP, JD Edwards, or NetSuite acceptable).Excel skills, including filtering, sorting, and basic formulas.Team-oriented and receptive to direction.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in production schedules, capacity planning, and material availability checks.Experience supporting planners or schedulers.Understanding of purchasing, scheduling, and how changes affect processes.High school diploma.Basic understanding of manufacturing.Experience with Oracle or any ERP system preferred.Proficiency with Excel, including pivot tables and V-lookups, is a plus.Work Environment
You will be part of a relaxed and easy-going team of three. The team values respect and communication at all levels and operates in a manufacturing environment that can be high-stress at times. Flexible working hours are available between 7 AM and 5 PM, with training scheduled from 8 AM to 4 PM for the first two weeks. Dress code includes jeans and an appropriate shirt, with steel toe boots required (reimbursement provided). This is an entry-level position with potential for growth into a production planner role.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
