About the RoleIn this role, you will be responsible for both short-term and long-term capacity planning across finished goods, semi-finished goods, non-tobacco materials (NTMs), and tobacco. You will ensure the factory is supplied with the right materials at the right time, aligned with ongoing projects and the production schedule.
You will manage tasks related to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Integrated Business Planning (IBP), coordinating material readiness for new product launches and ensuring machinery runnability. A key part of your role will also be team development - you'll focus on building an efficient, high-performing team through hands-on training and succession planning
Key Responsibilities
Plan and manage materials (FG, SFG, NTMs, and tobacco) to support factory operations and production schedules
Oversee supply chain functions at the factory, including planning, procurement, logistics, and shipments
Lead the optimization and simplification of planning processes
Manage local and global production planning projects
Conduct pricing and costing studies during Annual Planning (AP), Latest Estimates (LE), and for new materials
Deliver reports and analysis in line with schedules for Finance, Global Procurement, and other functions
Support and coordinate Global and Local NTM projects, trials, and implementations
Manage PLM tasks and ensure material readiness for new product launches and machinery runnability
Analyze material specifications and recommend cost optimization opportunities
Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
Collaborate with Global functions on business continuity, sourcing, contingency plans, master data, and KPIs
Ensure accuracy of master data and develop meaningful reports and KPIs to support business focus
Build and develop a high-performing team through training and succession planning
Ensure team roles and responsibilities are clear, and that routine operations and urgent issues are handled independently
Foster effective communication within the MS department and across Production, Quality, Engineering, EHS, and Finance
Continuously evaluate and improve processes within Planning & MS, using SAP and IBP as the primary planning tools
Ensure compliance with JTI Code of Conduct, EHS procedures, labor laws, corporate policies, ISO standards, and 5S3R principles
Promote a safe working environment by adhering to all health and safety rules and actively participating in training and reporting
Identify and eliminate unsafe conditions or behaviors within your scope of authority
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Manager or Supervisor
Qualifications
A university degree in a relevant field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Planning function within an FMCG environment
Fluency in English, both written and spoken
Proficiency in MS Office, with strong skills in SAP, IBP, and process design
Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A collaborative team player with proven people management capabilities
