We are seeking a highly capable and motivated Planning and Delivery Leader to join our MRPC-Buy function in Akashi, Japan, on a contract basis. This role will play a key part in ensuring effective planning, procurement, and delivery of purchased parts to support our Civil Aerospace programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end management of external supplier schedules, ensuring on-time delivery, material availability, and proactive risk mitigation.

Key Accountabilities
Serve as the primary interface between Rolls-Royce and designated suppliers for the planning and delivery of purchased components.Ensure materials are available to meet production and overhaul schedules while maintaining inventory targets.Lead supplier performance reviews, resolve delivery issues, and drive recovery plans as necessary.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering to support program needs.Analyze material requirements using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to generate accurate purchase orders.Monitor and track supplier schedules, lead times, and capacity to meet changing demand.Drive continuous improvement activities to reduce lead times, optimize inventory, and improve delivery performance.Support the onboarding of new suppliers or parts by coordinating initial orders, planning data, and logistics setup.Ensure compliance with company processes and standards, including Export Control and HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) policies.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in planning, procurement, or supply chain roles, ideally within the aerospace, automotive, or high-tech manufacturing industry.Strong understanding of MRP systems (SAP or equivalent) and supply planning principles.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure while ensuring attention to detail.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multicultural, and matrix organization.Business-level proficiency in both English and Japanese is required.Preferred Skills
Experience with SAP ERP or similar enterprise planning systems.Knowledge of aerospace materials, parts procurement, or supplier development.Project management experience or certification (e.g. PMP, Lean Six Sigma) is a plus.Exposure to global supply chains and international suppliers.Why Join US?
