What You'll Do
The BCG U Senior Finance Analyst role is within the broader PA & EK@BCG Finance Team. Key aspects of the role include:
Direct reporting to the Finance Sr. Manager in supporting the BCG U businessesPerforming thoughtful analysis to inform/support business decisions for global businesses on a broader scalePerform operational and financial tasks, analysis and reporting as required – routine as well as ad-hoc/strategic projectsKey contributor to the bi-annual plan/budget processesBuild and maintain various Excel-based operational and financial modelsPlay an integral part in Pricing modeling and decisionsWork with the systems group, HR, Recruiting, Finance, and other functions and assist with implementation of business/Global initiativesBe a thought partner to BCG U business partners, Global Analysis, affiliated Consulting Staff and local and regional finance teamsSupport global, regional, and local finance initiativesPrepare insightful materials for LT meetings to support overall strategy & decision makingSupport finance transformations and be a thought partner on the impact to our businessesYou’re Good At:
Financial Planning and AnalysisSupporting the BCG planning process and estimate submissions including revenue targets, pyramid / capacity modeling, compensation, cost management, launching of new products / services, launching in new regions / countriesSupporting the production and analysis for annual operational budgets and forecasts in accordance with regional and global guidelines, business trends and management directionSupporting multiple pricing and economic models, working with Consulting Staff to develop client pricingOwn and update BCG U Pricing Model based on feedback from Chief Product Officer and BCG U Global MDPsDecision SupportBring solutions to complex problem using data and information to assist business leaders in running the businessManage investment tracking & budgeting processExecute, review, and develop key business metrics and make recommendations where needed to business and finance leadershipSupport Coaching team on tracking revenue and costs associated with the business, assist in invoice reviews and supplier onboardingSupport various ad hoc special projects as neededOther ResponsibilitiesResponsiveness, initiative, and orientation toward service and business needsMaintenance, tracking and reporting of large data setsAbility to synthesize data and draw conclusionsCoordination and execution of operational tasks and projectsComfort with ambiguity and cross validating results through indirect meansAbility to identify areas for continuous improvement and bring new insights and efficienciesAbility to prioritize and respond to multiple simultaneous tasks with long-term/short-term response requirementsAbility to work cooperatively in a global virtual team where customer focus is a primary concernBuilding and maintaining appropriate internal business relationshipsWhat You'll Bring
BS Business, Finance, or related field
4-6+ years relevant work experience, ideally in a professional services or similar rolePrior experience at BCG a plusMeticulous attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to accurately execute on reporting and operations tasksStrong analytical skills; ability to think strategically as well as tactically (big picture/small picture) as neededAdvanced knowledge of Excel including pivot tables, conditional formulas, lookups etc., and ability to enhance and maintain spreadsheets and databasesExposure to Alteryx, Tableau and other Power BI toolsExposure to Hyperion Planning, SAP Planning & SAP Business Objects or other similar system (financial, HR , management reporting system) query tools is a plusStrong PowerPoint skills (including graphics and charts)Strong communication (written/verbal) and coordination skillsHigh level of initiative, self-motivation, resourcefulness and patienceFlexibility; ability to work with/easily adapt to changing prioritiesAbility to work effectively in a team environmentAbility to multi-task on different projects under tight time framesWork experience in a global or multi-national environment is a plusCollaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills, willingness to pitch in and help out whenever needed and proven ability to cooperate with people at all levels and across multiple languages / cultural differences, building positive, lasting relationshipsWho You'll Work With

As a Finance Team, we provide business leadership with analysis and reporting to make informed strategic decision making on running, growing, and improving the businesses. In addition, the team also provides exemplary finance decision support to several hundred global staff.
We also partner with colleagues across BCG’s worldwide operations and the firm’s corporate office. As a result, members of the team receive significant exposure to the overall business and develop networks and working relationships across the organization.
