Job Title: Planner SchedulerJob Description We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Production Planning Manager to lead the scheduling and coordination of manufacturing operations in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the plant operates efficiently and consistently by aligning people, precision, and process from start to finish. Responsibilities + Build and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet customer demand and inventory targets. + Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and operations teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials such as core, veneers, and glue. + Track production output, inventory levels, and capacity utilization, adjusting schedules in real-time as needed. + Communicate scheduling updates clearly to production supervisors, maintenance, and shipping teams. + Lead planning meetings and report performance against plan. + Troubleshoot bottlenecks, supply disruptions, and inefficiencies in the production flow. + Work with supply chain and procurement teams to manage supplier lead times and optimize material ordering. + Maintain accurate data in ERP or planning systems and generate reports for leadership. + Drive continuous improvement in scheduling, throughput, and material management. + Align strategic goals with actionable improvements across the plant. Essential Skills + Experience in production planning or scheduling, ideally in a manufacturing or wood products environment. + Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, with plywood or panel production experience preferred. + Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and production planning software. + Strong organizational and communication skills. + Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment. + Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent experience. + 5+ years of experience in the relevant field. + Familiarity with raw material logistics in forestry or wood products is a plus. + Experience with LEAN manufacturing or other continuous improvement methodologies is preferred. Work Environment This position requires 100% onsite work with a schedule of 4x10 Monday-Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and a half-day schedule.
