Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Planner (Saudi National) to join our team! In this role you will get to support the tracking, updating and monitoring of cost control, and scheduling functions on smaller projects or assists a more senior Project Control Engineer/Specialist on larger projects.
What You'll Be Doing:
Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring that tasks and milestones are clearly defined, realistic, and aligned with project goals.
Work with project managers and teams to identify key deliverables, dependencies, and project timelines.
Ensure that project schedules are updated regularly to reflect any changes or delays.
Resource Management:Assist in the allocation of resources (e.g., manpower, materials, equipment) to ensure timely project execution.
Track and monitor resource usage to ensure efficient allocation and avoid overallocation or shortages.
Coordinate with teams to ensure resources are available as needed and adjust schedules based on resource availability.
Progress Monitoring and Reporting:Monitor the progress of projects to ensure that tasks are completed on schedule.
Prepare regular progress reports for project managers and senior management, highlighting key milestones, progress, and any delays.
Identify potential issues that may affect project timelines and collaborate with teams to address them.
Risk Management:Identify and flag potential risks or issues that could affect project schedules or delivery.
Work with the project team to mitigate these risks and ensure that project timelines are maintained.
Ensure contingency plans are in place for potential delays or issues.
Collaboration and Communication:Communicate effectively with project teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that project requirements are understood and met.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, procurement, construction) to ensure alignment and smooth execution of the project plan.
Assist project managers with scheduling and coordination of meetings, workshops, and site visits.
Documentation and Record Keeping:Maintain accurate records of project schedules, resource allocation, and project progress.
Ensure that all project documentation, including schedules, reports, and correspondence, are up to date and well organized.
Prepare and maintain detailed reports, charts, and presentations on the status of the project.
Process Improvement:Identify areas of improvement in the planning and scheduling process and provide suggestions for improvement.
Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices for planning and scheduling across the organization.
Assist with the continuous improvement of planning systems and tools.
What You'll Be Doing:
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in project planning or scheduling.
Strong understanding of project planning and scheduling techniques.
Experience with project management or planning software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar tools).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:
Attention to detail and ability to track multiple project timelines.
Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or related fields.
Experience with advanced scheduling and planning tools.
Knowledge of construction or engineering processes (if applicable to the industry).

Familiarity with resource management and cost control within project planning.
