Planner/Lead Planner (DOE)
Description A values-driven wealth advisory firm is seeking an exceptional Planner to join its team of professionals dedicated to delivering personalized, high-impact financial guidance. This role is ideal for a seasoned advisor who thrives on building trusted relationships, simplifying complexity, and making a meaningful difference in clients’ lives. The Planner will be responsible for managing and deepening client relationships, coaching junior team members, and delivering comprehensive financial planning and investment strategies. This is a high-touch, client-facing role that requires both technical expertise and emotional intelligence. Key Responsibilities + Lead the development and execution of personalized financial plans, estate strategies, cash flow analyses, and investment reviews. + Serve as a primary relationship manager for clients, providing proactive communication and thoughtful guidance. + Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors (CPAs, attorneys, etc.) to deliver holistic wealth management solutions. + Oversee client meeting preparation, follow-up communications, and execution of action items. + Guide clients through complex planning topics including investment management, tax strategies, estate and philanthropic planning, and intergenerational wealth transfer. + Supervise and mentor Associate Planners, supporting their professional development and ensuring quality execution of client deliverables. + Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with fiduciary standards and internal policies. + Participate in strategic initiatives across planning, investments, business development, and team goals. Requirements Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, or related field. + Graduate degree or professional designation required (CFP®, CFA, CPA, EA, JD, Master’s, or PhD). + 5–10+ years of experience in the financial services industry, with at least 5+ years advising clients directly. + Series 65 license preferred. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM, document management, and portfolio management software preferred. + Familiarity with custodial platforms such as Schwab and Fidelity is a plus.
