Responsible for developing, reviewing, and maintaining material and labor estimates, schedules, and planning documentation in support of ship repair, fabrication, and modernization projects.
Responsibilities:
Review engineering plans, blueprints, and product specifications to determine material requirements
Incorporate NAVSEA Standard Items and applicable references in schedule and estimate formulation
Develop detailed POA&Ms meeting 9090-310 (current revision) requirements
Perform planning activities to support awarded projects and meet production objectives
Collaborate with Trade Foremen and other personnel to formulate estimates and schedules
Estimate and schedule labor requirements by trade based on engineering plans and specifications
Factor QA and Project Management requirements into labor estimates and schedules
Provide schedules in required formats for Estimating Manager review
Requirements:
5 years of experience in proposal planning for ship repair projects
Proficiency with Microsoft Project and its applications in scheduling and planning
Working knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles used in creating technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models to extract material requirements
Preferred Skills:
Experience developing schedules and estimates for Navy or government ship repair contracts
Familiarity with resource allocation and labor forecasting in shipyard environments
Strong understanding of ship repair planning processes and modernization project requirements
Pay Details: $26.00 to $34.00 per hour
