Job Title: Production Planner

Job Description

This role involves executing the company's strategic and tactical plans under the guidance of department management for the Production Control department. The position requires exercising independent judgment and operating within established guidelines.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop monthly, weekly, and daily production schedules using customer release data, adjusting schedules daily to meet demand and inventory goals.Ensure the accuracy and quantity of finished goods and work-in-process components, maintaining inventory targets and KANBAN systems.Create monthly master schedules based on customer demand and inventory data.Coordinate activities across Production, Quality, Engineering, and Procurement to meet customer requirements.Maintain item master files and other planning-related documentation accurately.Order components per production plans and ensure timely vendor deliveries.Essential Skills2+ years of experience in supply chain/logistics.Proficient in Excel and data entry.Knowledge of production and process flow.Familiarity with supply chain processes and ERP systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree is preferred.Experience with SAP.Automotive planning experience.Entry-level candidates with strong co-ops/internships in supply chain/logistics are considered.Work Environment

The role operates primarily during the 1st shift from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility based on consultant needs. The position involves 80% desk work and 20% floor activity, which may fluctuate. One role focuses on Electric Motors, requiring work in a cleanroom environment, while the other two support Suspension in a typical hot and dirty automotive environment. Steel-toed boots are required on the manufacturing floor. The job offers 10 days of accrued PTO, 6 standard paid holidays, and may transition to a full-time role based on needs over a 2 to 3-year contract.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Berea, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
