ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Planner supports the Director of International Planning in executing planning activities for specific product lines or regions within Skechers' Joint Ventures (JV), Subsidiaries, and Distributor Wholesale channels. This role focuses on detailed data analysis, developing recommendations for inventory optimization, and supporting the achievement of sales targets through data-driven insights. The Planner plays a crucial role in translating strategic objectives into actionable plans for assigned areas.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Manage datasets and assist in data collection processes for assigned product lines and regions across JV, Subsidiaries, and Distributor Wholesale channels. Contribute to ensuring data accuracy and timeliness.
Analyze sales and inventory data to identify trends and potential issues within assigned areas.
Assist in developing and maintaining sales forecasts and assortment plans by product line, category, and sub-category for specific business segments or regions.
Support the Merchandising team by providing data-driven insights for product planning and inventory management within assigned areas.
Contribute to the development of inventory management plans, offering insights to optimize stock levels and improve turnover rates.
Assist in monitoring industry trends and competitive landscape in assigned international markets.
Support projects of moderate complexity under guidance and contribute to larger planning initiatives.
Prepare regular reports for review by the Senior Planner or Planning Manager.
Support cross-functional communication and collaboration on assigned projects across various time zones within the global organization.
Provide guidance to junior team members, promoting analytical thinking and continuous improvement within assigned areas.
Prepare key findings and recommendations for the Planning Manager/Senior Planner to present to senior management and stakeholders.
Actively participate in the development and maintenance of INCORTA dashboards, ensuring that collected data is accurately represented and easily accessible.
Collaborate closely with the Data Analytics team to refine data visualization, identify key performance indicators, and create insightful reports.
Regularly follow up with the analytics team to address data discrepancies, suggest dashboard improvements, and ensure that the dashboards effectively support inventory management decision-making processes across all channels.
Stay updated on industry trends and support special projects as needed, demonstrating adaptability in a dynamic global environment.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Passionate about customer service and the Skechers brand in a global context
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in planning software and Excel
In-depth knowledge of planning principles and data analysis techniques
Effective project management skills for moderately complex projects
Thorough understanding of international wholesale channels and supply chain management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly
Ability to tailor messages to different audiences and contribute effectively in stakeholder meetings
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically within assigned areas
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment
Flexibility to accommodate calls and meetings across multiple time zones
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred
3-5 years of Retail Planning experience with focus on international wholesale channels
Prior Planning experience in a global context
Experience working with JV, Subsidiaries, and Distributor business models
The pay range for this role is $90,000-$100,000/yr USD.
