Our work depends on a PKI Security Administrator (Senior Level/SME) joining our team to analyze design, develop, implement, and support code for our government customer, the United States Postal Service.

   

HOW A PKI SECURITY ADMINISTRATOR (SENIOR LEVEL/SME) WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

In this role, a typical day will include:

Performing certificate operational duties, customer support, reporting and documentationSupervising the PKI team, develop requirements for projects for complex to extremely complex programs; and provide strategic and expert advice and technical guidance, to program and project staff.Provide guidance and training to key stakeholders on PKI lifecycle, processes and procedures.  This individual also provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issuesProvide support for automating certificates with Venafi, with the knowledge of moving towards AI to support automation.Provide customer support for all of USPS applications / services using certificates

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, preferred but not required.NOTE: If resources do not have a relevant college degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required.

Required Experience:

9+ years' experience as a PKI Security AdministratorA solid understanding of REST API Integration, Simple Certificate Enrollment Protocol (SCEP), and MS AD Auto-EnrollmentUnderstanding of some of the following technologies: VCERT, Portable GIT, Ansible and Visual Studio CodeUnderstanding of PowerShell scriptingA solid understanding of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)Infrastructure experience with one or more in any combination of the following: IT Sys Admin, Server Admin, Networking, Active Directory/LDAP, Unix/Linux or Virtualization and Access control administrationStrong communication skills in working with IT customers, developers and system administratorsExperience with certificate management tools (ideally Venafi, Microsoft CA and HSM)Experience troubleshooting digital certificate issues, with the ability to move towards AI/Automation

Experience with ServiceNow or other Change/Incident/Problem management ticketing technologyPKI experience including hands on experience with:Certificate Authority AdministrationCertificate Enrollment Web Service & Policy Web ServiceActive Directory Certificate Services (ADCS) monitoringIT system administration experience (systems management, networks, firewalls) in an enterprise environmentInfrastructure IT (Systems Administration, Network Administration Windows/Linux OS, Network Administration, Active Directory and/or Virtualization).Experience with user directory technologies for authentication (e.g., LDAP, Active Directory)Experience with Microsoft Windows Server configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting.Experience with Unix and Linux configuration and troubleshootingExperience with technologies that use TLS/SSL encryption (e.g., F5, Netscaler, IIS, Apache, WebLogic, WebSphere, etc.)Demonstrated proficiency with server virtualization technologies (VMWare, HyperV)Database administration (MSSQL) experience

Security Clearance Level:

Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprintingThis position has a U.S. residency requirement. The USPS security clearance process requires the selected candidate to have resided in the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for the last five years as follows: U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 6 months consecutively in the last 3 years (unless they meet certain exceptions). Non-U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 90 days consecutively in the last 3 years.

The likely salary range for this position is $144,410 - $195,378. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
