Our client is seeking a highly skilled Piping Lead to join a multidisciplinary engineering team for a significant FPSO refurbishment and upgrade project. Role demands exceptional expertise in piping design, layout, materials and critically piping stress analysis for offshore brownfield applications.

Role Overview

Leadership & Technical Management: Own all piping engineering deliverables throughout the project lifecycle. Lead, mentor and manage a team of piping professionals. Detailed Piping Design & Layout: Lead the development of piping layouts and critical piping deliverables. Piping Stress Analysis: Conduct complex stress analyses using specialized software. Material & Specification Management: Review and approve piping material specifications. Preparation for Offshore Construction & Commissioning: Optimize designs for offshore fabrication and installation. Quality Assurance & HSE: Enforce quality management systems and promote safety culture.

Skills & Qualifications

Piping Expertise: Proficiency in complex piping design and stress analysis. Software Proficiency: Expert in Caesar II, AutoPIPE, PDMS, SP3D, AutoCAD, and MicroStation. Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of international codes (ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8). Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication for collaboration.

Education & Experience

Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; Master's degree is an advantage. Certification: Chartered Engineer (COREN registered in Nigeria; CEng or equivalent) is mandatory. Experience: Minimum 15+ years in piping engineering with at least 7 years in a Lead role on complex offshore projects. Previous experience on projects in Nigeria or West Africa highly desired.
