Piping Layout Lead

Airswift is partnering with an international engineering company and recruiting for a Piping Layout Lead who will work in Galati, Romania.
Activities will be to supervise ICE in ROMANIA, which is in charge of the hull design. Follow up of piping & layout studies : 3D, quantity management (MTO, BOQ), interface with Topside, interface with others disciplines (ELE, INS, STR, EQP). Reporting to Hull Piping lead:
• Ensure the achievement of assigned goals and the fulfilment of project quality requirements and contractual obligations.
• Analyze technical documents (e.g. specifications, calculation notes, drawings) to assess the scope of the studies required and the potential risks.
• Seek solutions which can bring overall savings to the project.
• Develop the Piping and Layout methodologies / Design basis /design guidelines. • Review project technical documents to validate consistency between the budget, resources for the work completion and the targets to be met.
• Define and follow-up the planning of resources mobilization.
• Monitor and report actual progress including 3D / check for Discipline activities, including control of man-hours and delivered documents.
• Estimate quantities or validate estimation done by other specialists of the team. • Check all produced documents like design reports, technical specifications, drawings under responsibility.
• Attend to internal review activities and inter-discipline check meetings.
• Participate in Client Design and model reviews and provide resolution for client comments.
• Supervise the writing of specifications and requisitions as well as technical bid evaluations.
• Provide technical support to Procurement, Subcontracting and Construction activities
4. Profile:
• Shall have minimum experience in 2EPC project execution in Oil & Gas projects.
• Experience in FPSO Hull design & Navel is mandatory.
• Knowledge of BV standards code.
• English language: able to understand, write technical specifications and participate to clarification meeting with Company and/or Vendors.
• Software : Aveva E3D
