About the Role:
Growing services company is seeking a Senior Piping Engineer to join their tea. In this role, you will lead and contribute to engineering design reviews and analyses of ship and offshore piping systems. Working in a collaborative, international team environment, you’ll engage with clients and colleagues across the globe. Projects will often involve complex reviews that span multiple vessel systems and require deep knowledge of marine and offshore operations.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead and supervise engineering design reviews and piping system analyses.
+ Apply marine engineering principles and regulatory requirements to assess technical plans and drawings.
+ Ensure timely, high-quality project execution, maintaining consistency and compliance across deliverables.
+ Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior engineers.
+ Offer expert advice on the application of classification society rules and industry standards.
+ Contribute to rule development and participate in regulatory updates.
+ Draft formal technical correspondence and client communications.
+ Support business development efforts, including proposals, bids, and presentations.
+ Maintain professional relationships with clients and cross-functional engineering teams.
+ Monitor and support the professional development and performance of assigned engineers.
+ Supervise day-to-day project work and ensure on-time, high-quality results.
+ Propose innovative solutions to complex engineering problems.
+ Support the implementation of Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Management System within your scope of work.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
+ At least 5 years of experience in ship structure design, analysis, or plan review.
+ In-depth knowledge of Rules and Regulations, SOLAS, MARPOL, CFR 33/46, USCG, and related standards.
+ Familiarity with various vessel types such as bulk carriers, container ships, oil/chemical tankers, and offshore support vessels.
+ Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
+ Demonstrated ability to solve complex engineering problems and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Professional Engineer (PE) license or Chartered Engineer designation.
