Position Objective

The Pipeline Project Engineer – Construction (also referred to as Pipeline Field Engineer) will support and drive delivery of the pipeline scope by ensuring technical compliance, quality assurance, and alignment with approved project documentation.

The position reports to the Construction Lead – Pipeline.

The primary role is to provide direct technical and field engineering support to the construction execution team, resolving technical and field?related construction issues and ensuring continuity of workface operations. The role requires strong multidisciplinary capability and a high level of collaboration with key project stakeholders.

This position acts as a key technical focal point and primary interface with the pipeline construction contractor during field execution.

Position Accountabilities

Key accountabilities include:

Supporting the construction contractor in developing contractual deliverables, ensuring timely document submittal and approvals Reviewing and supporting approval of contractor execution plans, work processes, procedures, construction work packages, and planning documents ahead of construction activities Coordinating and facilitating construction?related reviews, including Go / No?Go, HAZID, construction readiness, and constructability reviews Providing timely field engineering support to maintain construction progress and workface continuity Managing Technical Queries and interfacing with the Lead Engineer and Engineering Contractor Resolving technical issues and supporting implementation of approved field modifications Reviewing and seeking approval for scope change requests, including impact assessment on cost and schedule Facilitating interfaces between design and site?based stakeholders, including brownfield projects, drilling and well works, operations, and pipeline?to?facilities interfaces Proactively identifying execution risks, constraints, and improvement opportunities Supporting contracting, procurement, construction activities, and performance / quality management of contractors and vendors Reviewing contractor progress reports, including achieved quantities and physical progress Coordinating company and contractor sourcing, delivery, and custody transfer of Free Issue Materials (FIMs) Continually assessing construction safety activities and identifying improvement or mitigation opportunities Ensuring contractor documentation is revised to accurately reflect as?built conditions

Additional responsibilities include:

Ensuring compliance with project standards, specifications, and philosophies in all technical solutions Identifying and resolving communication gaps or misalignment between key project stakeholders Supporting cross?functional risk management and opportunity realisation Safety Leadership Actively supports and models a strong project safety culture Ensures all work is completed in accordance with Australian LNG Oil and Gas Operator HSE policies, procedures, and standards Professional Experience

Essential experience includes:

5–10 years’ experience in field engineering and construction within the upstream oil and gas industry Proven pipeline construction experience (brownfield and greenfield), including multi?discipline interfaces Working knowledge of oil and gas standards, codes, and work processes Experience delivering construction projects to Australian Standards Strong leadership, influencing, teamwork, and interpersonal skills Strong organisational, coordination, planning, and interface management skills Proven delivery in complex, remote, and challenging environments Experience working in developing countries and wet tropics regions FIFO work experience Technical & Other Competencies Demonstrated ability to apply innovative solutions to complex technical challenges Sound understanding of project management processes, including scope control and Management of Change Strong commitment to Incident Free Operations and process safety excellence Cultural awareness and sensitivity when working with mixed national and expatriate teams High?level communication, influencing, and presentation skills Ability to clearly explain complex technical issues to non?specialist stakeholders Strong stakeholder awareness, including landowner and community sensitivity Ability to adapt technical solutions to changing project and stakeholder requirements Qualifications

Essential qualifications:

Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline Eligibility for registration with the Institute of Engineers PNG (IEPNG)
